You aren't there where we used to stroll.
Once so happy together, without you I'm inconsolable .
The paths we wandered along got over- grown.
Upon pearly dew only dismal fogs roam
And witness the signs silently speaking
Of unforgettable love and belated spring.
The nightingales still remember by heart
The songs about our once incredible love.
We shared happiness, but away it rushed
Either after the stars or got lost in a hush,
Probably in the dark of the night or in a mountain ravine.
In dull candle light I have no inspiration within
To comprehend and embrace my dreamland birches,
Stay under them admiring the sketches
Drawn by my heart . But the fire's ceased.
The fogs have engulfed our sheer bliss.
It must be my fate - live with a sad wounded heart.
The rain washed off all the signs of love.
Trees dropped their leaves, the flames expired.
And nightingales warble forever subsided.
One can't lend joy and happiness from fate.
Everything's gone in a flash. Undoing the past- too late.
Only my memory is alive and torments my soul,
But the stargazer keeps silent and north winds severely blow.
Ушедшая любовь
Нет тебя в тех местах, где с тобою бродили.
Безутешна жизнь мне, как же счастливы были.
Заросли тропки все, и туманы лишь бродят
По жемчужной росе, и приметы находят
Незабвенной любви, и весны запоздалой…
Помнят песнь соловьи о любви небывалой.
Было счастье с тобой – и куда всё умчалось,
Иль в полёт за звездой, иль в тиши затерялось.
Может, в тёмной ночи, или в горном ущелье.
В тусклом свете свечи не придёт вдохновенье,
Чтоб осмыслить, понять и найти те берёзки,
В царстве грёз постоять, вспомнить чувства наброски.
Но костёр догорел – счастье скрыли туманы.
Знать таков мой удел: грусть на сердце и раны.
Дождь приметы все смыл, листья вновь облетели,
Пыл душевный остыл. Соловья смолкли трели.
Напрокат не возьмёшь у Судьбы радость, счастье,
Прежних дней не вернёшь. Всё ушло в одночасье.
Только память живёт и сердечко волнует…
Но молчит звездочёт, ветер северный дует.
