A Gravestone

I’d never thought that you could hurt me like that…
But you did, and now I’m crying in bed.
I’ll never forgive you, please leave me alone,
Your absence of heart’s colder than a gravestone.

I’d never thought, never thought you would betray...
But I am much better without you today!
And I love my loneliness; it’s my best friend,
I’d never thought our love’d come to an end.

Was it really ‘love’? I doubt it, so please go,
My aching head will soon be covered by snow…
I AM happy that you are finally gone!
I’ll never forgive you, so leave me alone.
