A bear cub living in the wild is caught in Canadian North and sent to a Zoo in a big city. There he is trained and learns the rules of behaviour and some tricks to perform for the Zoo customers. He develops good relationship with his trainer, a boy named Michel. After a successful performance at the Zoo, they are invited to Buenos Aires Zoo in South America. They fly on a plane but unfortunately the plane suffers a mechanical failure and crash lands in the middle of the Amazon river region. The bear who was kept in the cage during the flight thinks that they arrived at their destination: Buenos Aires. The pilot stays with the plane and radios for help. The boy and the bear go into jungle in search of help. There they meet the local animals who amaze them with their beauty and character. The boy and bear in return surprise them with their performance. The animals take them on a wild adventure, full of thrill and danger, showing life of different species constantly fighting with each other for survival. Then, they lead them to an old abandoned tent that used to belong to an early explorer / scientist. In the tent they find a notebook filled with handwritten observation of nature and conclusions about evolution. With the help of the boy they read the notebook and understand that according to the theory of evolution all animals and humans are distant relatives of each other. With that realization they stop fighting with each other and start thinking how to live together peacefully. While all this is happening the search and rescue in Buenos Aires receives the radio call from the pilot and sends a rescue helicopter to save the group. After several unsuccessful attempts it finally finds them and air lifts them on board and brings them to Buenos Aires where they make successful performance.
