Unconditional Love

I was thinking about unconditional love.
I was trying so hard to find someone
Who could take me away like the wind,
Who could turn all my life into a dream.

Make me forget about the worries I have.
Please, make me feel that I'm living today,
Don't expect anything and ask nothing of me.
Here you are, here I am: we're a dream.

There's a feeling inside of my heart,
And I don't wanna lose it somehow.
I just wanna love and be loved,
And I wanna keep love inside.

It doesn't matter if I don't see you again.
If we're meant to be close, I'll stay your friend.
If we're not, I will say my goodbye.
If our roads ever cross, you'll be mine.

Who said that we should be this or that?
Who said that we should follow the rules?
Who made these rules that are ruining souls?
'Cause there's only one rule: don't do bad and do good.

I was thinking about unconditional love.
I was trying so hard to find someone
Who could fit my ideal. Then I realised,
There is no need to search: love's inside.
