Electric Girl

In one northern country there lived a girl. She went to school and was a good student and was curious about how things work. Especially, she liked to learn about electricity. The most popular sport in the country was hockey. All people liked hockey and every Saturday night they would gather in front of TV to watch their favorite team to play. In the girl's class in school there were many kids who played hockey. One day they invited her to play with them, but she said no, because she was busy reading a book about electricity. They said this sounds boring, hockey is much more fun than reading a book, why waste your time reading some boring book if you can have fun playing hockey. The winters in this country were very cold and very often snow storms happened. One day there was a big snow storm that knocked the power off to the whole city for several weeks. People of the city were very unhappy because they could not watch the hockey on TV. The mayor of the city announced that he would give a big reward to the person who can bring the power back to the city. Many people tried to fix the problem, but nobody succeeded. Then, the electric girl said: I can fix the power problem. Take me to the city's power station. Once at the power station she looked at the schematic, measured voltages and currents and quickly found a problem in the circuit: a burned component. She replaced the component, turned on the power switch and power was back again. The next day newspapers had front page news about the electric girl who saved the city from the black-out. The girl instantly became the hero of the city.
