The Door

Пустина
You know, the days so full of light
Became nightmares for me that night,
There is one door that must be locked,
But you came up to it and knocked.

The Evil dwells behind cursed door,
But it attracted you once more,
It taught you fight, it taught you kill,
And not to take it as something ill.

I accepted thought that you are lost,
I knew what open door would cost!
I learned to fight, I learned to kill,
With words and fire and cold steel.

With hilt of sword I knocked on the door,
I've destroyed The Evil without any law,
Through I'd allowed my wrath erupted,
My soul'd gone ashes and corrupted.

I saw no wrong, I saw no right,
Revenge and aim were on my mind!
The war with Evil was so hard
That lands turned into the graveyard.

I was like Evil in my beliefs,
Forcing everyone down on the knees,
The fire for blood, the stone for heart -
Now no one could tell us apart!

But I was the second in evil deeds,
Cause only Evil there to all precedes!
Becoming second meant the fall,
The Evil won; I was overthrown.

And I was thrown into hopeless gloom,
My friends met even bitterer doom,
My name's commanded to be forgot,
But aim was reached - the door was shut!

I' risen from ashes in spite of pain,
I promised not to touch that door again,
But Evil still dwelt behind the door,
And you were behind it, furthermore.

I have no force, no strength, no vim,
The world for me became dull and dim,
I gained the fame of fell bloodshadder,
It seemed to me it would last forever.

I had gone round in brume and haze,
Beyond my memory your shape had blazed,
In my delusion you came to me,
You smiled, and winked, and gave me the key.

I do not want to open that door,
I simply do not want to open that door!
I'm really tired to start new war,
I do not want to open that door.

Why did you give that key to me?
I begged you not to give that key to me!
I'm really tired to start new war,
I do not want to open that door!

...But since I cannot change the Past,
I have to open the door at last.
You are not evil in reality,
Cause Evil wouldn't have given me a key.
