New hopes

Àëüáèíà Êóìèðîâà
The branches dance, moved by the wind,
like waltzing in the air.
Away from me I will rescind
all sadness and despair.

Let all frustration, anger, pain
into oblivion go.
I would not let my grief again
the whole mind to owe.

Rub salt in wounds? What’s good in that?
It’s sin to keep offenses!
Forgiving them, discard all bad,
all hurt from troubles senseless.

New dawn is brightening the sky.
The birds are chirping merrily.
Kiss to the past your firm “good-bye”
and welcome hopes daring.

The challenges of every day
cannot destroy my faith.
Touched by the light of sunray,
I can all things embrace!

There’s no need deploring fate,
dismiss all former madness.
The lilac’s blossom saturates
my eyes, giving gladness.

The nature sends the message clear
with beauty and tranquillity:
there’s plenty reasons for a cheer
and for the thoughts stability.

There’s something steadfast in the course
of nature’s sights so varying
that tells me with a gentle force:
God’s in control and caring.
