The Dreamer s End

Кассандра Зорти Галарайн
Oh cosmic dreamer,
Blessed be your dream!
Although it's only in the past:
Your dream of joy and suffering
Has turned into a torture,
And now you're free, so nothing seems to last.
---
Now be your friend the final, solemn rest.
Thick blood is pouring out of your chest.
The darkness penetrates your swollen eyes
And makes you gently stop to cry.
---
You dreamt of worlds so odd and so mundane.
Our universe and things which we became,
The strange word "god", let me blaspheme,
Unknown to you, yet so supreme.
---
You were no god, an ageless child,
You were a dreamer, calm and bright.
The dream was yours, the joyless sight
And so you're gone beyond the light.
---
The blood turns cold and stars grow bleak.
The ugly body lies beneath.
There is no one to see its darkest side,
The pain of cosmic suicide.
---
Now every cell of a rotten world
Disintegrates and flies beyond
The matter and the cage of time,
Beyond the borders of this life.
---
The dream is dead, the pain is dead,
No one to feel the ancient sorrow,
And the shapeless world stands hollow.
