And he forgot his secret marriage,
He was squandering love everywhere,
Then in the night he was massacred
And came to the gates of Heaven.
"Didn't you swear in my cathedral, —
Madonna's words thundered, —
To be faithful to a woman
Whose glances are adamant?".
"Go away, God does not
Reap harvest like this.
Ones who break an oath
Die, strangers to Him".
But sad and stubborn
He knelt to Madonna:
"I did not find a woman
Whose glances are adamant".
