The Hilly City

The day started exactly other way
I expected it to be.
Being sleepy I should say
Is not for going to the town beside the sea.
I poured coffee on my outfit
Being in a rush to eat
But I have tried to outwit
The fate that did not want me to complete
My one day tour
To observe the Scottish capital grace
And make it sure
How beautiful and amazing is that place.
I’ve changed the clothes I own.
And I’ve been late to the coach.
And the ticket needed to be shown.
And the moment of approach
The destination was so soon,
That I was imagining us
Already walking in the city in the noon
Leaving the stuffy and boring bus.

Firstly after getting to the site
We got advices where to go.
And then we were taken to the height
Of the Calton Hill, where the winds blow.

Further, we were let to go everywhere we want.
So I went to the center with my friends,
Passing the garden with a small pond,
Entering every single shop not to have offends.
Many different souvenirs or country’s marks,
We have spent hours to see them all.
We went through some of mysterious arches,
Takings lots of photographs and being nearly to fall.

And when that much was seen and awesome shots were done
We went to the caf; to have some fun.
The three of us felt the feet hurt,
But so tasty was dessert,
So bright was day,
That we did not want to go away.

We reviewed the images we took.
We emptied the glasses.
We gave each other a look.
I put on my glasses.
And we decided to move.

We went to the Old town,
Were the roads are going down.
There was an intriguing show,
The man was acting so slow,
But he did some weird tricks
Which made our thoughts to mix.
The crowd was laughing of his jokes
Making me falling in love with the Scottish folks.
While watching the magician
I had heard the typical Scottish tradition:
The sound of bagpipes filled the air
And I just started moving there,
Where two young musicians were staying
And the melodies they were playing
Created the atmosphere on the square
Soaking the air on the arranged fair.

The journey was full of vivid scenes,
That we enjoyed as being lively teens.
