Daybreak

Кассандра Зорти Галарайн
The daybreak slips into my room,
The silence of dissolving doom.
And I lay still, with a soul of glass,
So calm and cold as blades of grass.

My love with blackest locks of hair
Sleeps far away, away from here.
The sunrise bleeds, its chest is stabbed,
The Earth is bathed in rays of red.

A bird is singing of the rain
Of life in sorrow and disdain.
It came from dreamy, far-off lands
To find its glory and its death.

The interweaving of the twigs
And barren soil that lies beneath -
I see them through my morbid dream
Which lifts me up and sets me free.

The cold embrace of a winter sun,
Subconscious stillness lies undone.
The feeling flows into reverse
Through depths of a lifeless universe.
