If a light’s what you see at the end of your tunnel
Hold back for a moment, I’m already coming
If there is Heaven where you are
I wish I haven’t sinned so far
If there is Hell where you belong
I hope there’s plenty I’ve done wrong
If you’re off to a new beginning
I will be close enough to hear your singing
If you’ve achieved Nirvana at the end of your road
I’ll escape the cycle too, so we’ll have all the time in the world
And if you go back to where you began
I will also - start over again
But what if science was right all along?
There’s no spirit, nor soul
No purpose, no afterlife, no existence at all
Will you still follow me through, wherever I go?
If there is nothing
None, at all
How about the two of us…
Make our own new world?
But how…
There’s no ‘but’s or ‘if’s
Only you and me
No "whether" or "how" or "wherever"
Only here and now and forever
Wherever you go – I will follow
