I believe that the Chinese Government (of course – not the same as Chinese people) experimented with new strands of Coronavirus among many other bacteriological weapons in its laboratories.
So do the US and Russia – all superpowers do.

On top of that, the wet animal markets in China are breeding grounds for diseases. Both factors play a vital role.
If not coming to senses, they, through accidents, can spill in the public much more potent nd dangerous bacteriological weapons causing global disasters, including to themselves.
Now, that the economy would be affected globally, it may, inadvertently save us all from bigger calamity.

Yes, even 4% death rate from it is too much for anyone, but, the same Media keeps silent on carcinogens in commercial food and soft drinks that cause cancer and kill millions of people.
Keep silent on anti-depressants pharma that screws up people mind more than the depression alone.
Cautiousness is needed with any virus outbreak but not to panic to the point Stock Market s manipulated.
If correct, the US has sustained 12 deaths from Coronavirus. Not sure if closing offices and cancelling events is prudent at this stage?
No one would stay home fully any way.
If panic is based on logic, then the same logic reveals that a person can step out of the house and catch a sneeze of the first person sees. So what’s the point?
Measures to adhere to hygiene and improve the immune system may be more important as well as early testing.
