The Rules of The College s Game

Ìèõàèë Òîëêà÷åâ
Professor would you tell me
Rules of the daily game
For Tri-C College namely
Demands from us in main!

And what  a shame, a nuisance!
I haven’t learned before
These Rules and that’s the reason
I need to get  informed.

All our life, my dear,
Consists of many bans:
“You can’t park here!”
“You can’t walk on lawns!”

There are some very simple
And useful “rules of play”.
Remember, lesson’s working
But not a gambling place.

Be quiet and pay attention
To the professor’s speech.
And do not ever   mention
Your  contrasting knowledge.

Let’s write,  read, and speak,
Be careful and let’s pray
For a good and quick deep grip
Of what the teachers say.

And every time remember
Transfer for all your friends
Raw slogans – like candles
Which  reinforce your sense.

Don’t peep, forget a prompting,
Let’s study by yourself,
And cribs on palm aren’t drawing
Right now. And don’t send

For any other notes.
It’s all abominable.
Dishonest games distorted
Your   honorable way!

Remember my suggestion
Today and every day.
You need to use discretion
In dealing with classmates.

Don’t hurry  to fall in love,
Don’t pester other students.
Save  family above
Your passions. Will be  prudent!

Your speech correctly formulate
Don’t cry, and lisp, and whisper,
And clearly articulate
Don’t use a word that’s misty.

In very rude discussion
You need to find the ways
For logical solution
Without  mighty waves!

You need to pay attention
To sponsors (with strong foil)
Or fee for education
Soon will be  null and void!

Be so subordinated,
Polite and  quiet in  class.
Waste has to be separated
Metal,  plastic and glass.

And all the other  instructions
Were often hung on  walls.
And add with new vacations
Announced us at the halls.

Attractive advertising
Should recommend for us
“Let’s go all to  diving!”
“Pay money for your class!’

“Give  blood to the Red Cross!”
“Wash often and clean hands!”
“Let’s always cover   cough!”
“Save  money at the banks!”

“All phones are prohibited!”
“Please, wait until you’re called!”
“Free flu shots if  it’s needed!”
“Play chess and volleyball!”

Eat only healthy diets,
Do morning exercise,
Take care to your young child,
And alcohol don’t try!

Don’t eat (in class)your sandwich,
Don’t choose illegal ways,
Don’t speak your native language
And you’ll receive good grades!
