When the Jews were taken as slaves,
with your beauty God made you shine.
Oh, the beauty of God, who saves!
Oh, the beauty of love of God,
manifested in every trial!
It is there for us, never flawed,
which He shown to you in exile.
You received all your riches' bliss
by the king as a queen selected,
being born for the time like this,
for the time of grief unexpected.
For the time like this you were born
to protect all Jews from extinction.
For your nation to fast and mourn
you received your royal distinction.
When the times of sorrow strike,
when the world around despairs,
may our trust remain childlike,
trust in God, who rescues and cares.
