You saw it all

Альбина Кумирова
My Lord, You saw it all -
bloodshed, betrayals, wars,
and lies - big and small,
and greed, and lust, of course.

From Your eternity
again and again
for centuries You see
humanity in pain.

When things on Earth go wrong,
You hear people cry:
"How long, oh God, how long
You'd watch it from the sky?"

You see the people rail
and, blaming You, malign,
accusing that You fail.
They think, You are off-line.

But little they know
or don't want to fathom
that for the great and low
You have the heart of Father.

Not from the distance You
all suffering observed
and in Your trials knew
all pain undeserved.

Not distant You are, not!
You are not far away,
for with Your blood  You bought
all those, who would pray.

For all of us You spilled
Your blood and shed Your tears
and on the cross You killed
the Death itself and fears.

You ruined Satan's plan,
who's trying to entice
all people, whom he can,
into all known vice.

The Earth, where Satan rules,
is just a testing ground
to sift the wise from fools,
and liberate all bound.

You were among us sent
two thousands years ago
for all, who would repent,
Your mercy to bestow.

You are the Heaven's bread
that came to Earth to save.
Your Kingdom glows ahead,
which You for faithful gave.

For all, who would believe
Your Word, the price is paid.
There is no need to grieve,
no need to be afraid.

There will be no fate,
no illnesses, no death,
and patiently You wait
to breathe in us Your breath.
