At the cost of losing peace and joy,
fear enters, many problems stirring
for achieving Satan's evil ploy,
who against humanity is warring.
In exaggeration and in fakes,
it is rooted in demonic lies,
and with irreversible mistakes
we can pay for it a heavy price.
You can lose abilities to think,
letting fear whisper to your ears,
and into depression even sink,-
fear robs you of productive years.
Fear is a thief that makes a nest
in your soul, in ambush it waits,
stealing joy and peace, the life's zest,
and, when settled, then its rules dictates.
It would eat your life, leaving crumbs,
having caught a soul in its net.
Fear is pervasive, when it comes,
aiming to possess you, if you let.
Fear twists a character sometimes,
every sinful nature amplifying,
and some people even turn to crimes,
covering their shady deeds with lying.
Claws of fear tear many souls.
Sudden fears stab you as a knife.
When a fear reigns, it controls
your reactions and derails your life.
Fear locks you up into a shell,
forcing you to hesitate and worry.
It creates in you an inner hell.
Isn't it familiar, this story?
Who has not experienced it, who?
And whose nights weren't by it affected,
when you were unable to subdue
all your angst and feeling unprotected?
How to withstand its harm within,
to resist anxieties' dictate?
Turn to Christ, and He in you can win
over your fears small and great.
In His hands is all - your good or bad.
Fear no-one but God alone!
He will help through trials to be glad,
when your trust in God is your backbone.
