King Arthur

In England’s plains and hills of Wales
It’s heard from dusk till dawn
The famous name of the greatest king
Who’s ever lived along.

Some people say, he was a tale,
A legend that’s not true.
And I believe he did exist.
This story leads us through.

He didn’t know his parents though
His father was a king.
But like a knight he was up-grown
By his guardian, Merlin.

There was a joust at that time
Arthur was taking part.
He took a sword out of the stone
And gave his reign a start.

He was so just, he was so brave,
That knights all over the world
With pleasure to his kingdom came
That glamorous Camelot.

Each equal at the Round Table
Were sitting all his guys.
He’s got a wife, queen Guinevere
And thought she was his prize.

You know that Merlin was not simple,
He was a magic man.
He gave advise and helped with spells,
But envy came again.

Morgan le Fay, a queen, a witch
Decided to take the throne.
A wicked plan was made in which
A child Mordred was born.

Some say that Arthur was his dad
Relations were unclear.
But that began a chain of threats
And ended in the grief.

While Arthur fought he left his wife
With honest Lancelot.
They fell in love and broke their lives.
It opened, they were caught.

No trust, no friendship anymore.
No place where you belong.
No noble deeds and no frank thoughts.
And Camelot has gone.

But there’s hope every time
That happy future comes.
At Avalon king Arthur sleeps.
He’s waiting for his drums.

Poetic dream, poetic song
Appeared in the mind.
Long live to Arthur’s Avalon!
Let evil stay behind.
