When you have met many years ago,
could you have possibly think that one day
you would each other profoundly know,
and to each other you loyal would stay?
Thinking of this, how joyful your tears
must be remembering what you lived through -
in those precious twenty five years -
what you have found, or lost, or accrue.
When you decided one day to engage,
and in all troubles your spouse to back up,
you stuck together in difficult age,
when many couples so quickly split up.
As you became a wonderful pair,
it’s like winning perhaps a jackpot -
twenty five years of patience and care
since you were into this union brought!
Life sometimes brings troubles and pain,
storms that could break a relationship and
could make us feeling sometimes insane,
but you have learned how to understand.
Keeping the promise, being committed,
being united in bodies and minds,
you proved that you to each other are fitted,
love makes it easy and firmly it binds.
To be united, whatever the weather,
since you have said to each other “yes”,
twenty five years of life together -
it’s an achievement, I’d say, a success!
This nowadays, no doubt, is rare -
twenty five years of faithful love,
and with your efforts, I’ll add, to be fair,
this is a gift, no doubt, from above!
