The weight of silk

Jnayna
And just like thousands years before
For women of my faith
The silk of thousands restless worms
Will keep me warm and safe.
While soaking in the sound and blood,
And newborn’s pure scents,
Or dressing wounds in thinest coats
Behind the thousand fences.
Concealed the shine of heavy truth
Entangled in my braid -
The speechless witness of my roots,
My warder was my friend.
