Kintsugi

Альбина Кумирова
Like delicate porcelain bowls,
fragile are our souls.

They are so breakable, like a jewel,
when life is harsh, inhumane and cruel.

But when they are cracked, being damaged by sin,
the Lord doesn’t throw them into the bin.

The sight is returning to our eyes,
when our faultiness we recognize,
and if are willing Christ Jesus to trust,
He cleans our souls from mud and from dust.

God touches each soul with His gentle hand,
He wants to restore them, repairing, and
He joins all pieces and, making them whole,
He covers with gold the cracks of such soul.

When God a new pattern with gold designs,
the soul, in a splendour acquired, then shines.
New beauty becomes much more noble, unique,
for God knows all restoration technique.
