Dear Brighton

Михаил Салита
Once immigrants from lands afar,
Irish, Italian, Mexican, and more they are.
With pride, they forged their new fate,
In America, they found a home to celebrate.

But in the mix of this melting pot,
A place called Brighton, a special spot.
Odessa's essence, it lingers there,
Defying hate, showing love, and care.

Farewell, anti-Semites' vile ways,
Brighton shines with Odessa's rays.
Inhabitants revel, joyously unite,
"Maldovanka" and "Peresyp," day and night.

Dear Brighton, you hold the Odessa flame,
A substitute, a cherished name.
God bless you, Brighton, a beacon so true,
Where cultures intertwine, embracing anew!
