Hope

Томас Кромвель
I wish it happened,
Even though in future,
When stars are vanished, planets are disposed
And every light’s distorted, twisted, tarnished
And human life futility’s exposed;

I wish it lasted,
Even though a torture
Would come to bring existence to decay;
From pangs of autumn to the joy of May…
I wish to hold your hand and breath that day;

I wish it stayed and swayed
My tired mind…
I wish to have those troubles yet to cope
With each rejection, every worldy “nope”…
I wish I had this… tiny, feeble… hope.
