Quantum Chanty

Алёна Поскалина
In the vibrant heart of an unnamed town,
A theorist and experimenter faced down.
One armed with equations, so sleek and so neat,
The other with gadgets, none could defeat.

Sing ring-a-ding-a-ding with a particle spin,
A quark, a charm, and a muon within.
From ideas to proof, their duel was spun,
In the quest for truth, the fight had begun.

"My theory has just pointed out
That your experiment is in doubt,"
The other one said, rolling up his sleeves,
“I’ll show you what half em vi square means!”

Sing ring-a-ding-a-ding with a particle spin,
A quark, a charm, and a muon within.
The fight went on with a clashing sound,
Increasing the entropy all around.

Humanities students came by and said
“We have some more arguments to add”.
Their voices faded into the dust's embrace,
From it, scattered poems found their trace.

Sing ring-a-ding-a-ding with a particle spin,
A quark, a charm, and a muon within.
Through annihilation they all came undone,
On the quantum leap to nowhere, and then there were none.

So if you wander under the starlit dome,
You might hear their voices, in the quantum foam.
For in their fervent quest to prove the other wrong,
They found the physical vacuum, where all belong.
