Когда решишь покинуть ты меня,
И все заслуги мне вменишь в вину,
Я соглашусь с тобой, себя черня.
Скажу, ты прав, и ложь твою замну.
Пороки знаю все наперечёт.
Готов пойти на явный мне подлог:
Погряз в грехах я, потеряв им счёт,
Порвав со мной, ты честь сберечь бы мог.
Сам я при этом мало что теряю:
Я сохраняю прежнюю любовь,
Виню себя и тем тебя спасаю,
И сам тебя приобретаю вновь.
Чтоб мне всегда с тобою рядом быть,
Себя во всех грехах готов винить.

When thou shalt be disposed to set me light,
And place my merit in the eye of scorn,
Upon thy side against myself I'll fight,
And prove thee virtuous, though thou art forsworn:
With mine own weakness being best acquainted,
Upon thy part I can set down a story
Of faults concealed wherein I am attainted,
That thou in losing me shall win much glory;
And I by this will be a gainer too,
For, bending all my loving thoughts on thee,
The injuries that to myself I do,
Doing thee vantage, double vantage me.
