Admit, I like a slowed down morning
when the clean-washed cold window glass
is rain-dropped – in the way at dawning
the dew’s besprinkled on still grass.
The hiss of tiers from wet ground,
non-rapid rain’s appeasing bong's -
it’s calm, and not another sound
is needed, nor the muses’ songs.
At such a moment I feel coolness
to those who torture me with love;
more truthful than in midday foulness,
perceive myself through mirrors’ stuff.
