Why’s a morning so wise?
Is an evening dumber? –
just polite
and exhausted
A crazy morn
in a scatterbrained head
hopes puddles
from childish babbles
An afternoon hour –
the day gets sour
One's done what one could
Prosecuting? Pardoning?
The judge is cross:
demands soberness
Air castles – dissolved –
careless, rosy
Dive in the evening –
and it is kinder –
‘t will cool the heart,
return the childhood,
tell an old mind
a fairytale,
take on the lap's hills
a dear baby
't will come like a deer
for a captured soul
to a moonlit bedside –
that final night
