<<In this poem Emily is speaking about deprivation which is of the entertainment sort. She has no sort of enrichment program and so she had to do the work of keeping her spirit alive by herself. She wasn't a nutritive meal at the beginning of the poem making process — she was in her own words- "An insufficient Loaf —" that wasn't able to furnish much returns in terms of nourishment but with diligence she overcame this paltry beginning. She keep on and the loaf of herself was increased in size "by slender addings" which I dare to say was the daily writing and such. The results of the hard work was to satisfy Emily and was almost enough to keep her going.>>
