On Tuesday, February 12, 2013, the Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class was officially unveiled at Lincoln Center in New York City as part of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Fall 2013.
This latest Mercedes-Benz campaign is appropriately labeled ”Untamed”. It has a sleek design and takes driving to a whole new level in design and aerodynamics. It has been called the ‘style rebel’ and is going to be the leader of the pack, there is no doubt.
To introduce the newest vehicle, Mercedes-Benz Fashion Ambassador, the very tall and lovely supermodel, Karlie Kloss, made a guest appearance in a black suit with smiles for her adoring fans and media that had assembled to photograph her. Also on hand was Ryan McGinley, famed photographer and winner of Photographer of the Year in 2003 and Young Photographer Infinity Award in 2007.
In the background on a full-length screen was a key visual that was created and shot by McGinley capturing Kloss as an ethereal figure in a white Chloe’ dress set against a breathtaking natural setting of rocky canyons and yellow grass. An ‘untamed’ horse as white as the pure snow can be seen as a symbol of this fresh and contemporary car.
Under the creative direction of Jefferson Hack, the CLA’s philosophy is illuminated; non-conformist and provocative, an avant-garde style rebel in its own right.
This is sure to be one of Mercedes-Benz’s hot sellers as it hits the dealerships in September of this year and with Karlie Kloss in the driver’s seat, it may even break some sales records.
