Рецензия на «Painkiller» (Дориан Лемэль)

Hey, Alex, Here you go!

Fear not, the Rain can’t hurt us (Why Rain is capital --- a god of rain?)
(Let this words? (are you talking about the line above or the whole poem?) become a spell!)
I forgot that we are mortals
On our midnight way? to Hell.

One step closer to damnation
(With each hourglass’s turn.) – still sounds awkward (With each turn of hourglass – be ok)
No god to preach salvation
No time to pray or mourn. ?

Cannot hide and cannot run
(Even if it feels unjust.)
Why thou art the Chosen One?
Seek the answer in thy Past... – don’t get this lines. One usually learns/gets answers from the past, ughm?

Angel's Pact with blood is written
(Oh, the world is *that* insane!)
Here comes the Heaven's Hitman
Bringing Peace in place (instead?) of Pain... (what the angel’s pact has to do with blood and Heaven’s Hitman – are you talking about blood-rain or…?)

Best!

Thanks, your analysis is exactly what I need. And as I've already said, it's greatly appreciated. :-)

This piece is one of my earlier experiments with English. I was going to rewrite it anyway, but wasn't sure what to change. Now I've got the idea. :-) Originally it was about a PC game "Painkiller", hence the obscure meaning of certain verses. But now I'm thinking of a broader and more general theme...
